The Margaret River Wine Region Sustainability Report was established out of a conviction to fulfil custodial responsibilities towards the region’s exceptional environment, recognising the importance of sustaining and protecting its rare biodiversity.The report identifies key initiatives and measures, including environmental health and resilience, social responsibility, waste reduction and climate action.
A major initiative of the Margaret River Wine Association is onboarding its members into the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia program and working with them to achieve certification.
This report summarises where we are here and now in 2023, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
