Bushfire Appeals - How You Can Help

Although thousands of kilometers from the bushfires in the Eastern States, the Margaret River region, like everyone, wants to help those that have been affected by the recent bushfires.

MRWA and MRBTA have launched the Margaret River Region Online Auction for Bushfire Relief which aims to raise $100,000 to support those affected by bushfire activity. Funds raised will be split between the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund and regional causes recommended by Wine Australia and the Australian Grape & Wine.

What you can do

  1. Chat with your colleagues to decide on a unique offering for the auction.
  2. Submit details of your offering by Wednesday 22 January 2020, 11pm via this online form.  (The sooner the better to maximise your exposure).
  3. Your product will be uploaded to the auction site (many thanks to the members who have offered staff resources to assist). See examples here.
  4. The auction takes place over 2-weeks, from Friday 24 January until Friday 7 February.
  5. We would love you to promote the auction to your contacts and customers and we will provide you a social media toolkit to assist with this.
  6. Winning bidder of your item is selected.
  7. Your offering will need to be dispatched to the winning bidder via your chosen delivery method (local pick-up; Australia Post; voucher email, etc) within 10 working days of confirmation of receiving payment to the auction fundraiser.
