Love chasing down the newest and latest openings? You won’t want to miss these three new cellar doors in Margaret River, including one whose grand unveil is this Australia Day long weekend. Conveniently, all are located just south of Margaret River town.
McHenry Hohnen / Vintner’s Wine Bar
Located in the burgeoning Witchcliffe precinct, by day, enjoy tastings of the stunning and highly expressive single vineyard, biodynamic wines of McHenry Hohnen. Their bookable guided tasting experience operates daily and often has the rare opportunity to taste museum releases alongside current vintage wines. At lunch time and night, the space transcends into Vintner’s Wine Bar, serving up a menu of the famous farm-grown produce of McHenry Hohnen, including their delectable estate grown lamb.

Yeah Wine
Opening the weekend 24 January, is the new cellar door of Yeah Wine. This small batch maker sources grapes from vineyards across Western Australia, that are handmade with an emphasis on producing single vineyard wines with a tonne of personality, and, most importantly, are delicious. Pop in for a tasting hosted by owners Andrew and Sian Dawson as they celebrate their new home. Discover more via Margaret River Summer of Wine.

Borrello Vineyards
The Borrello Family has owned and operated vineyards around Western Australia for several decades. From some of the finest pockets of their vineyards, they now craft wines under their own label. A group of growers, vignerons and friends with over four generations of growing experience, Borrello believe in the importance of quality fruit, and make modern wines inspired by natural, low intervention winemaking techniques. Their 2022 Rosé saw them win the coveted Pink Jacket – the Trophy for the Best Rosé at the Margaret River Wine Show. Opening in late 2025, their charming cellar door is open for tastings Thursday to Monday.
