ABOUT THE SHOW
Established in 2002, the Margaret River Wine Show has become the pinnacle event of the year for the local wine industry. It is a prestigious platform where the finest wines of the region are critically assessed by an esteemed panel of judges, renowned for their expertise both nationally and internationally. These judges provide invaluable, independent feedback on the unique styles and characteristics of the wines, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating excellence.
Key Objectives:
- Expert Appraisal: Offer local grape growers and winemakers the chance to receive constructive feedback from some of the world’s top judges.
- Highlight Distinct Styles: Shine a spotlight on the unique wine styles and signature varieties that define the Margaret River Wine Region.
- Promote Excellence: Elevate wine styles that particularly excel within the region, demonstrating their exceptional quality.
- Showcase Quality: Present some of the best examples of Margaret River wines to the world.
- Recognize Innovation: Celebrate excellence and innovation in winemaking, from the vineyard to the cellar door.
- Marketing and Celebration: Create a vibrant marketing platform and a celebration of the region’s finest wines.
