Wine Australia’s annual China Roadshow is the largest travelling Australian wine tasting in China, giving thousands of Chinese trade and media an opportunity to experience Australia’s diverse fine wine and connect with Australian wine businesses.

Each year, the roadshow travels to new locations in China to drive awareness of Australian wine, create genuine sales leads and increase export sales to the powerhouse region.

In its seventh year, the roadshow will visit one tier-one city (Shenzen) and three tier-two cities (Tianjin, Hangzhou and Kunming), engaging wine buyers in a mini trade-fair, master classes and a new-to-market program.

Shenzhen events will include:

  • a free-pour tasting
  • a trade networking event
  • media activities, and
  • exclusive master classes delivered by prominent Australian and Chinese wine trade, commentators and educators.

Events in Tianjin, Hangzhou and Kunming will include free-pour tastings and several educational classes. A full schedule of activities is included below.

The 2019 roadshow is supported by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package and is expected to attract 4,000 visitors, including importers, distributors, wholesalers, sommeliers, buyers, media and influencers.

All activities will be supported by a digital marketing campaign in China and Australia.
