SUMMARY:End of Vintage Treasure Trail at Willespie Estate
DESCRIPTION:Good wine\, good company\, and a few things hidden in the vines. End of vintage at Willespie. Find your spot and stay a while. \n\n\n\nMarking the close of the 2026 vintage the only way we know how — with good wine\, good company\, and an afternoon that asks nothing of you except to find your spot and stay a while. \nEaster Saturday this year Willespie will release two wines: the award-winning 2020 Reserve Cab Sauvignon and the 2024 Homestead Cabernet Malbec\, with the winemaker on hand to pour and talk you through both — no tasting notes required\, just curiosity and a glass. \nFrom 2pm\, the kids head out on their own Egg Hunt across the estate. From 3:30pm\, the adults get their turn — heading into the vines to hunt for hidden bottles and real offers\, all redeemable at the Cellar Door. \nThe Margaret River Bakery takes over the kitchen for the afternoon\, and there’s live music throughout to keep the mood exactly where it should be. \nBYO blanket and chairs. Find your spot. This one’s worth settling in for. \nThe Treasure Trail is all of it – the new wine in your glass\, the people you share it with\, the music\, the food\, and yes\, a few things hidden in the vines. Come and find yours. \nFree entry. All welcome\, including those with four legs. \nBook your spot here.

SUMMARY:Native Seed Collection for Riparian Zones (Lower Blackwood LCDC)
DESCRIPTION:Healthy riparian zones don’t happen by accident\, they’re built from the ground up\, starting with the right seed. \nCollecting and using locally adapted native seed is one of the most effective ways to restore degraded creek lines\, stabilise banks\, improve water quality and rebuild habitat. The species we choose – and where that seed comes from – directly influence survival rates\, resilience to climate pressures\, and long-term restoration success. \nNative Seed Know-How for Riparian Zone Restoration will explore why seed provenance matters\, how to collect responsibly\, and how good seed practices strengthen on-ground restoration outcomes. By sourcing seed from healthy\, local plant communities\, we maintain genetic diversity\, improve establishment success and build resilience into our revegetation projects for the long term. \nThis workshop will be guided by the experts at Cape Life Environmental and Undalup Rangers\, with support from our Lower Blackwood LCDC specialist Declan McGill. It will be a will be a unique insight into our local landscape; how to observe carefully\, collect respectfully and handle and use native seeds with confidence. \nBe prepared for a morning out in the bush! Gloves\, long sleeves and boots must be worn as we’ll be out in the bush to learn the hands-on skills for native seed gathering. \nLearn more & register.
