SUMMARY:Grace Farm Long Table Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Join the team for another spectacular long-table lunch with Chef Paul Salmeri amidst the garden and vines at Grace Farm. This will be the eleventh edition of Grace My Table\, Grace Farm’s highly anticipated signature event. The menu is designed to complement our wines and draws on seasonal produce from our organic vegetable garden and local farms\, with several of the dishes cooked in our traditional woodfired oven.  The lunch is a four-course Italian-inspired meal\, paired with new & museum releases. \nIn November 2016\, Paul Salmeri delighted guests with an incredible feast beside the vineyard and this encouraged us to make the long-table lunch an annual event. The Perth-based chef specialises in Italian-inspired cooking. His support for sustainably grown local and seasonal produce matches the Grace Farm approach to winemaking. He studied in Florence and worked in Sicily and Florence before making his way to London\, where he worked at the River Café. In addition to select chef appearances\, Paul now owns and runs the popular gourmet Italian providore in Cottesloe – Sal’s Pasta Deli. \nThe setting for the lunch enables you to truly appreciate what Grace Farm has to offer. Late spring is a magical time at the farm with inflorescences bursting on all the vines and the garden in full bloom. \nTickets are $315 per person. You can only book four tickets in one transaction.\nIf you are booking for multiple people\, please provide their contact details when booking. \nPlease retain your email receipt as your ticket(s).\nFor dietary requirements or menu details\, contact phoebe@gracefarm.com.au  \nBook here.

SUMMARY:Finlaysons Wine Roadshow - Save Every Drop
DESCRIPTION:It is no secret that operating in the Australian wine sector remains extremely tough. The over-supply of grapes and wine\, and under-demand from Australia’s principal export markets\, make it very challenging. Having said that\, there are opportunities and some people are doing well. \nAustralia’s grape growers and winemakers are generally very good at what they do\, but most of them have not been trained in commerce or business management. What can they do to optimise the performance of their business in really difficult financial circumstances? This seminar is designed to give you some tips as to initiatives you might be able to adopt to put your business on a more sound financial footing. \nAttend Finlaysons Wine Roadshow to hear from industry experts who get it. \nFinlaysons will be accompanied on the road again this year by Australian Grape & Wine and Wine Australia. They will provide global industry context and explain what has been done at industry level to create efficiencies so that the benefit of your levies is maximised. They will also discuss how they are endeavouring to mitigate the over-supply of grapes and wine and grow demand for Australian wine globally. \nOne of Australia’s leading wine sector business consultants\, KPMG\, will advise on what a wine business can do to remove cost and improve efficiency\, to give itself the greatest opportunity to succeed in the current environment. \nFinlaysons will then advise on the legal obligations of business owners when times get tough financially and how those obligations can be managed in a way that enables the business to move forward positively. Finlaysons will also discuss how wine sector participants can work together to run their businesses more efficiently. \nIf you want to improve the financial performance of your wine business\, this seminar is for you\, even if you are doing quite well at the moment. If you are seriously struggling\, attending this seminar might just put you on track to save your business \nDespite rising costs\, we have kept Wine Roadshow pricing unchanged for over 10 years—because it is important to us to bring your local wine community together each year to share insights and help you succeed. This year we have also extended our discount so you can bring along as many family members and non-family staff as you like at the reduced rate\, provided you buy one ticket at full price. \n\nApproved Association* member $99 per head (plus GST)\nGeneral admission $149 per head (plus GST)\nEach additional family or staff member attending receives a further $20 discount\n\n*Approved Associations:  Australian Grape & Wine\, Wine Communicators of Australia\, WISA\, SAWIA\, Wine Victoria\, Wines of WA\, Wine Tasmania and NSW Wine.  \nAll seminars commence at 1:45 for 2:00pm \nThe seminar will run across 3 hours with afternoon tea\, followed by drinks and canapes for a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. \nRegister here.
